I am friends with quite a few teachers and they have told me some horror stories. It seems that today the default reaction of parents is to blame the teachers and never look at their children.

Pay them by the hour, for every one of your brats, and they'd be making the kind of money they should and teaching would have the prestige it deserves.

students saying the kinds of thoughtful and respectful things that every teacher would like to hear. Needless to say, I enjoyed working as a teacher through all of those years. But, in light of the current trends in education, I wouldn't want to be a teacher nor would I it recommend it to anyone else. The establishment of public education has been effectively killed by those who set out to destroy it.

We are fast approaching anarchy. Congratulations to those who have knowingly created this human disaster. You have succeeded beyond your wildest dreams.
