LTTE about Obamacare: "I'll take my chances with 'nanny state'"

To those who think the National Health Care Initiative contributes to a "nanny state mentality": The state tells us what speed to drive or when to stop at intersections, our banks tell us to buy fire insurance on our homes. Perhaps meat factories don't need to be inspected and companies don't need to be told how to treat employees? I should be able to put a nuclear reactor in my backyard or carry a rocket launcher on top of my car? I already pay taxes that support causes that I don't (corporate subsidies, wars, etc.). I would rather my taxes go to help people like my cousin who can't find a job that supports her and who needs a back operation but is too young for Medicare (a nanny state program).
