I loathe Bernie Sanders and have the hidden posts to prove it...

But anyone who seriously argues that Bernie Sanders or any significant number (or any at all) of his supporters are anything but idealistic leftists is engaged in some extreme rhetorical dishonesty.

NARAL and Planned Parenthood both gave him 100% in 2015 and 2016 respectively, the conversation taking place here exists in a reality other than our own.

...99.9% of Sanders supporters are likely just as you said: idealistic leftists.

and a member of the democratic party.

It's not so binary. Bernie is an honest broker.

11. I was neither a Sanders nor a Clinton supporter at the start.

No use for third parties, I just wasn't awed by either of them. You're right, it's not a binary choice. I think Sanders is honest, too. But I am bone-weary tired of having to choose between septuagenarians. I didn't feel inspired by anyone this past election.

Apparently a lot of others felt the same way.

We need new faces. We proved we can win with intelligence and charisma, which Obama has in spades. More of that, please.

We pretty much all agree on a core set of values.

DU is somewhat screwed up right now. That being said I don't see anyone here claiming Bernie has an anti-choice voting record.

14. I agree with you here. No honest member would be here if they were not left of center.

We do have a common core of shared values. I don't believe in abortion but I'm squarely pro choice and support Planned Parenthood. I'm totally anti gun, but understand for some it's a sport or security need. No problem as long as the guns are registered, the owner licensed, and there are background checks and not semi automatic. I could go down the whole list of Democratic /Liberal/Progressive values and probably find total agreement with 90% of them with a few caveats for the rest.

No one issue is black or white. Those that demand a purity test are agitators and probably trolls.

posts here. Bernie is authentic and honest, sometimes he puts his foot in his mouth, but he's trustworthy and has as you point out 100% on womens rights.
