Man both groups of you, STFU. I'm tired of you. You don't gain a damn thing but my disdain by attacking fellow progressives.
Anyway, I assume half of you are trolls trying to help Trump distract us from all his corruption. Either say something useful (which means don't attack fellow liberals) or scram. You suck.

(30,481 posts)Like your op, for example.
The Admins made some great changes that really helped DU, IMO. Seems enough time has passed to where the conversations can be had without involving the primaries in any way. It's interesting to watch and I believe it is telling a bigger story.
BTW, K&R.
Don't expect this to last, but I'm with ya.

Half the people attacking Bernie on here are Russian trolls.

(68,861 posts)while engaged in this nonsense...we should be fighting Trump. If this keeps up Trump gets a second term.
ZX86
(1,428 posts)What does that even mean? Saying Trump is a bad man? People already know that. HRC fought Trump for months. What did it get us? More Trump.
The way to fight Trump is with Medicare for All, $15 minimum wage. Free college etc. Ragging on about unreleased tax returns and travel expenses as our main focus will not advance our party. It's preaching to choir. It doesn't inspire stay at home voters, new voters, or Independents.
It would be nice if merely hating on Trump was enough. It isn't. That's why we are where we are.
Demsrule86
(68,861 posts)mean something to voters. You won't get a $15.00 minimum with Trump...you won't get free college with Trump and he needs to release his tax returns because he is selling out this country for a few measly rubles...try working on special elections, 18 and then 20...criticize Trump not the Democrats who are our only means of stopping Trump. The Russians made a successful attempt to divide the Democratic Party and succeeded in large part...but even with Comey, the primary, the Russians...we barely lost...and we will win next time. The idea that we need to remake our party over a close election is nonsense. 2016 is over...now we fight to save this country from Trump...all hands on deck. It is not time to remake the Democratic Party which seems kind of arbitrary anyway...I mean a pro-life candidate is OK but someone John Lewis (a hero to me) supports is not? All Democratic candidates deserve support from Democrats and Democratic allies. You want to get all the goodies described above...elect democrats. I was watching a program that showed a map of congressional districts and how they behaved during 16, we have the best chance in years to take back the House...let's not blow it.
ZX86
(1,428 posts)It shouldn't have been close. That's the point. The most qualified candidate in history lost to a pussy grabbing game show host. If that doesn't call for a remake of the party I don't know what does.
The most popular politician in the country stumping for Dems is not a problem. It's an asset. It boggles the mind that this is somehow controversial. By definition anti-Bernie sentiment is a minority opinion. Minority opinions don't win votes or elections.
Demsrule86
(68,861 posts)twice in modern times that a candidate of the same party won...Truman (during war II) and Bush I (Reagan was incredibly popular at the time). The most qualified candidate in history had been demonized for thirty years by the media and the Republicans...My question is why even show up for a mayor's race and especially this one where the candidate is pro-life? While I would vote for a pro-life Democrat over a Republican, I would not endorse one. This could be construed as throwing women under the bus.
Also the 'unity' tour should be disbanded...when people show up and boo the Democratic party, clearly it is not working...use resources to win important races like Georgia 6. You can't force unity...thus get on with picking candidates and working towards taking the House and maybe the Senate...we have the best opportunity ever...and a mayor's race is not even on my radar. Offer all progressives good choices and let the chips fall where they may.

People are pissed at me for simply repeating what the OP said
50% of BOTH GROUPS are trolls trying to help Trump.

Theres also support from the left-leaning Daily Kos website, which so far has raised nearly $1 million for Ossoff.
Thats painted something of a bulls-eye on Ossoffs back. No leading GOP contender has directly confronted him, but the National Republican Congressional Committee painted the Democrat as a far-left Bernie Sanders guy. (Ossoff, for his part, said he backed Hillary Clinton.)

FactCheck.org: Sanders Wrong on Voter Turnout
Sanders Wrong on Voter Turnout
snip//
Sen. Bernie Sanders wrongly claimed that voter turnout in 2016 was the lowest in 20 years. In fact, turnout was higher than it was in 2012.
The overall turnout was 60.2 percent in 2016, up from 58.6 percent four years earlier. In addition, the percentage of eligible voters casting ballots for president in 2016 was 59.3 percent the third highest in the last 44 years. Only 2008 and 2004 were higher.

(7,818 posts)Now you're dragging all sorts of crap into the discussion. Why bring up Sarandon? Nobody mentioned her before now.
The point that we are trying to make is that there may be a lot of stupid crap going on in the world, people acting like idiots, saying stupid things - so you have to bring it up here just to argue? THAT is what's divisive.
Is somebody here repeating the words that Sanders said? No? Then why attack people here about it?
It was a month ago! To keep harping on it is just argumentative and divisive, no matter how many links you put in your post. It makes people wonder why you keep doing it and we're coming up with our own answers.

(7,818 posts)But do you have to do it 10,000 times?
I was absolutely outraged when Pelosi took the Bush impeachment off the table, but I haven't mentioned it in over a decade. How long would it take for people to doubt my sanity if I kept going on and on and on and on about it? Wasn't that just a little worse than one little word? That's how a lot of us feel about this kerfuffle over "feeble."

(100,151 posts)Well, no, actually the election was stolen from us. But the point is we lost and we can't keep fighting the same battles. It's time to rebuild and go after the big bosses - Trump and McConnell. McConnell needs his ass kicked to the curb and its' our mission to make Trump a lame duck president. We can't do that if we're fighting last year's battles. Time to get to work!
