5. I've Always Wondered Why Black Athletes Want to Play for a School Like Ole Miss

when only about 9% of whites in the state voted for Obama. 15% in Alabama. Why not go to a school/state with a history of inclusion. My first hero as a child though was Jerry LeVias who was the first African American to win a scholarship in the old Southwest Conference-can't hate your heroes so it does do some good

I'm not sure Black athletes understand how much power they actually have if they were to speak out on race issues collectively or through an intermediary. See Missouri athletic program

10. Some Organization Should Grade the States/Schools for their Minority Inclusion

...and advocate athletes to attend schools/states with better minority policies. State Legislatures would be calling special sessions to address these issues if it resulted in even 1 poor recruiting class at a major SEC school. Believe me I following recruiting very closely and there would be significant pressure applied by boosters if the prospect of poor recruiting resulted from a poor Inclusion grade. College athletics is all about recruiting-and in Football and Basketball that largely means recruiting of minority athletes. There is coercive power that has been overlooked
