Senator Al Franken delivers Meals on Wheels to elderly Minnesotans

The cruelty of the Republican drive to do away with social safety nets is easily expressed in the recent callous statement of dumb by White House Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney, who said that the Meals on Wheels program wasn’t “showing any results.” Minnesota Senator Al Franken has been a supporter of the “Meals on Wheels” program for quite some time now. Today, Sen. Franken went out and delivered meals to people needing some help.

Sen. Franken has done this before, making sure to highlight the good work being done by people in communities everywhere to make the lives of our most senior members just a little more comfortable. I think the “results” are pretty obvious.

in the White House. I think he might be just as impervious to scandal as Obama.
