FYI, About That Aircraft Carrier, the Carl Vinson That Trump Just Sent To The Sea Of Japan?
It's named after Democratic Rep. Carl Vinson, who represented Georgia's 6th District for 32 years.
I don't know about you, but I find that auspicious.
Leaving discussions of Johnson's Civil Rights Act, and Nixon's Southern Strategy aside....let's not forget that Georgia was represented by Democrats for most of its history, and that GINGRICH was the FIRST Republican to win there in 1979. By historical standards, that's a 'recent' thing!
Maybe it was just a FAD, and things are about to go back to the LONG term trend for that district!
