Will the Presidential election feed the congressional races... or vice versa?

I'm back and forth on this in my head. I'm in MA and the Warren/Brown race is much tighter than the Obama/Romney race.

I imagine fivethirtyeight.com has a lot to say about it, but what do you all think?

I think it will depend on the candidates and the socio-economic climate of the locality. Usually the large urban areas will do more "straight ticket" voting but smaller localities it will vary and not necessarily follow a national trend.
