She sure is spot on about this one!! That said, I am no fan of Andrea-and really do not feel sorry for her. At every opportunity, she seemed to bash our Dem. nominee during the GE.

THE GLOBAL POLITICO
People Just Flat-Out Lie
Andrea Mitchells covered seven White Houses. Then came Trump. Ive never seen anything like this, she tells The Global Politico.
By Susan B. Glasser

President Donald Trump called her Hillary Clintons P.R. person when she got a scoop he didnt like last week.
Controversial Fox News host Bill OReilly called her unruly when she shouted questions at Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
Well, it turns out Andrea Mitchell, NBC News chief foreign affairs correspondent and host of MSNBC's "Andrea Mitchell Reports, has some words for them, too. In a new interview for The Global Politico, our weekly podcast on world affairs in the Trump era, Mitchell says that after covering every president since Jimmy Carter, Trump is by far the most hostile to the pressand to the truthshes ever seen, with a White House staff using the briefing room as a daily disinformation machine and a president and secretary of state outright undermining the ability of reporters to do their job.
It is totally sui generis. Ive never seen anything like this, Mitchell says. I have never seen anything like this where people just flat-out lie. You know, black is white and white is black, and they mislead you. It's really disconcerting to see the podium in the White House briefing room being used to mislead or misdirect or obfuscate..................

(35,454 posts)You, Ruth Marcus & Cillizza couldn't stop sticking the knives into HRC & PBO. You were overjoyed by Benghazi & Email issues and pounded them every day. You could've had a decent, well run WH and press room but you got what you got because you enabled a mad man in the highest office in the land. Shame on you but just desserts too.

(6,979 posts)I could only stomach so much of MSNBCRNC even when Hillary was doing well, say like after her debates but the times I could stomach it, your assessment is spot on of Mrs. Greenspan, Cillizza and Marcus. They all KEPT the long knives out for Hillary when I watched so like you, I have NO sympathies for Mrs. Greenspan being slighted in the LEAST, or when she was herded out of the room like a Yak by those tRumputin lackeys when she was trying to ask a question of the Secretary of Secrecy.

(12,336 posts)Maybe Tillerson wouldn't be Sec. of State if Andrea and her press colleagues had asked the Trump campaign the looming questions about Russia. Maybe Sean Spicer wouldn't be telling lies in the briefing room everyday if Andrea and Co. hadn't spent an entire campaign season fixated on HILLARY'S E-MAILS.
Cry me a river, Andrea. It's not your fault Trump won, but you sure as hell didn't help by ignoring the news about Russian interference during the 2016 campaign.
Now we all suffer.

(51,816 posts)This is nothing new for that crowd. If you weren't so busy chasing right wing memes about Hillary's emails, maybe you could have announced this fact sooner, i.e. BEFORE the election. That would have been a lot more helpful.
