the ground. This garbage doesn't stop unless it hurts them where it counts. We're losing and may have already lost our humanity in this country. This won't be the last time we see this happen. This was a 69 year old man FFS!!! We're ALL fair game, I guess.

This is only the beginning...if they get away with it, we can all expect this to happen on any flight. Nobody is safe.

An airport, especially a big international one such as Chicago, is a federally controlled area. Even in the era of Trump, this is worth federal attention.

United blessed this carnage, only started getting contrite due to the international attention. Initially, they saw nothing wrong with their actions. THAT is the biggest problem, as I see it.

What was the first reaction of UA's CEO when he saw the photos of the doctor beaten bloody?

Second question--DID UA's president even see those photos?

If what he thought was "dumbass got what he deserved" then it explains in the first place why United acted the way the did initially--following set company procedure. THAT should give pause to anyone willing to consider taking that airline EVER again. If I were Lufthansa, I'd be looking for a new partner, right about now. It's been a while (like 72 years in the West, 28 in the East) since Germans approved that kind of jack-booted thug carrying out official duties in that manner.

In the sense that they sold two tickets for the same seat

United needed to get a crew for a flight the next day to Louisville and decided to bump 4 paying passengers from that one. If they couldn't get volunteers, they should have figured out a different way to transport the crew.

There was a time when this kind of thing only happened in third world dictatorships like N. Korea.

The US has literally turned into the Soviet Union.
