He's CONNING us about the Syrian bombing. Con-man donald at work.

As this bombing event unfolds, it is clear to me it is a con.

59 missiles! could not hit the airstrip? It was left fully intact.

The damage of 59 missiles was minor compared to what those missiles were capable of.

Yes, tragically, 6 Syrians are reported killed and unknown numbers of injured, yet Russia was forewarned to clear out. Donald killed more people in the Yemen raid and the other recent Syrian bombing. Our military knows how to be destructive and kill. This was a careful attack.

I think con-man donald wanted to show the world he is anti-Russia, but he is not. This probably was a back-channel deal to take-off the pressure over the donald/Russia travesty, in multiple ways. Will it deliver his desired results? Most of us are not that stupid. Nothing this con-man says or does can be trusted. Look at the actual event and its results to see his bluff.

Defense officials said that at least 20 aircraft were destroyed on the ground at the Shayrat airbase north of Damascus and heavy damage was inflicted on bunkers, fuel and munitions storage facilities and air defense radars by the BQM-109 Tomahawks carrying 1,000-pound conventional warheads.

The airfield’s two runways mostly escaped damage but Tillerson and defense officials said that the runways were not targeted since they could easily be repaired.

Not sure what kind of planes, but F-16s cost $165 Million each, so pretty good killing 20 of theirs.

Trump decides to strike Syria ... and then;

Trump forewarns Putin.

Putin forewarns Syria.

Syria moves weapons, aircraft and equipment away from strike zone.

Thursday... Trump strikes Syrian air base with many Tomahawks to show how tough he is.

http://www.rawstory.com/2017/04/warplanes-from-syrian-base-hit-by-us-just-carried-out-airstrikes-in-homs/

Friday... Syrian warplanes took off from the airbase struck Thursday night by U.S. cruise missiles

Wonder if critical parts of the air base were really targeted?

Boy, that sure showed Assad, eh?

Are they giving out points in this game?

....flying missions out of the airbase that Trump bombed, according to Abigail Tracy of Vanity Fair.

She says:

Trump could fall down the slippery slope President Barack Obama—whose interventionist policies Trump regularly derided on the campaign trail (emphasis added)—long warned against. As Obama explained to The Atlantic in an interview last April, it was his administration’s “assessment that while we could inflict some damage on Assad, we could not, through a missile strike, eliminate the chemical weapons themselves, and what I would then face was the prospect of Assad having survived the strike and claiming he had successfully defied the United States, that the United States had acted unlawfully in the absence of a U.N. mandate, and that that would have potentially strengthened his hand rather than weakened it.” It now appears that is precisely the situation confronting President Trump.

So as I understand it, by telling Russia before the strikes, (which he had to do to avoid killing Russian personnel) Russia told Assad and Assad moved everything that would effect his capacity to use chemical weapons in the future.
So it was a useless, but very dangerous strike.

This is why you need congressional over sight. But of course, the Repugs just broke Congress too.

And, most people do not go deep into the topics to learn such things. They hear the bumper sticker that con-man did the strike and they know nothing else.

Cruise missiles can not be used for taking out runways, that takes special penetrating munitions, which can only be plane dropped.
Also runways can be fixed and back up and running in a few hours anyway..(you are just filling in some craters) Much better to strike the planes, tank farms, ordnance storage, control towers, radars, barracks, etc.
