(2,550 posts)I think they used a channel to the military commanders so that we didn't kill Russian troop.
We'd have a pretty big mess on our hands if we killed a Russian troop.
I'm not sure if it was a good or bad strategy by Trump, only the future actions will tell; but I think making sure we didn't hit Russian troops was a good idea.

(3,477 posts)At war with? I don't believe the administration had any choice but to warn the Russians, and I'm fairly certain they understood the Russians would then warn the Syrians. This is an incredibly complex situation.
