59 Tomahawk Cruise missiles launched against an airfield that was forewarned.

With dubious political and military results...At roughly $250,000 each not including transportation and logistics costs, would have bought a lot of golf removing the entire planet from immediate concern about Donald Trump. Every minute he is away from the office and affairs of State is fine with me.

So the direct acquisition bill is $89M. Probably replacement cost will be over $100M.

I wish their would be some military analysts that go onto these shows to discuss what should be the expectation for using $100M of munitions. I would look to destroying a bunch of planes and killing a bunch of pilots (also Command and Control Staff, skilled technicians etc). Secondly making the airfield unusable for the long term.

I bet none of those objectives were achieved and total damage probably is probably a fraction of the $100M.

Why on earth would you believe the missile count, cost or that they were even Tomahawks?

Supposedly Tomahawks are fairly easy to shoot down with current portable anti missile defenses. That is why you fire so many at once. It is like playing a video game at level 10. You could stop 1 or 3 attacks, but never 59. That said, some or even many had to have been shot down if they really were Tomahawks. So lets see them.

The first part of the attack should not have been airfields. The first is destroying the anti missile defenses, which are probably Russian. And you do not target them with Tomahawks. There would have been significant Russian casualties. So either half the Tomahawks got shot down OR most got through because we shot the Russians first. Unless the Russian anti missile defenses were what was relocated before the launch. In that case why even waste 59 Tomahawks. Shoot 1 for the news, then just set off some explosives on the airfield to simulate damage.
