Trumps motivation for Syrian missile strikes are dubious

Throws shade on gorsuch vote
Takes Bannon out of the spotlight
Makes trump look like he is not afraid of Putin
He looks stronger on Syria than Obama
It gives the appearance of power over Chinese president in meetings
Will raise his approval numbers

Trump doesn't give a fuck about Syria and people being killed.
This is a setup and he got the go ahead from Putin.

3. Except he gave Putin a heads up.

And there were Russians at that base, which means Syria had a heads up.

4. Exactly

Yet there are still some here at DU calling it a "proportional response", as if that makes it okay!

5. Nearly all of that was going through my head this evening, before we

even heard of the missile strikes.

I even came up with the OP title of "Putin says 'HOW 'BOUT WE HAVE LITTLE SKIRMISH?'"

13. Very possible but if Russia gave him the go ahead it might be because they want the fuck out of

the mess that they got themselves bogged down in there.

15. Imagine you had batteries of cruise missiles at your command

and every time you ordered a launch, your popularity ratings went up, and the world respected your authority. That sort of thing could become addictive. This is the sort of problem that got elected here.
