Will Roberts or Thomas be replaced before summer??? IMO, it will be

Chief Justice Roberts who whats to move on to the big dollars and knows that Trump will completely wreck the court and its prestige.

Thomas is just ready to go and smell the roses but will wait until October when the court ends this session.

when the final decision is handed down.

The new session begins in October. The first Monday of October, to be precise.

He probably would have stepped aside years ago if there had been a Republican president.

That way they get to keep the seat conservative for another 20 years or more.

Roberts probably has another 15-20 years of service on the court unlike Thomas who could possibly retire at any time. Granted, if they both intend to retire, I'd prefer they wait until a Dem sits in the White House again, although it might not matter for Thomas.

He would make a hell of lot more in those 15 or so years than staying on the court and being a Trump clown.

That's why the next appointment is more important than this one. Kennedy is halfway reasonable and if his seat gets filled by a right wing nut we're in deep doodoo.

And his place on it. Despite the fact that I also believe him to be a Corprotist first and a Conservative second, I don't believe him to be in any way stupid.

Trump would be a Damn Fool to start a pissing contest with the Chief in Roberts' own house. I would lay money down that that Decision would come back 8-0 against the administration, just as Roberts way of telling Trump 'don't you fuck with ME, I'm NOT your bitch'
