What the hell is patient centers. Ryan eluded to it on Stephie`s show.

Has anyone heard of this before and if so what the hell is it? Patient centers? That is about as creative as buying insurance across state lines. What a f---in joke that is. All the small companies would be bought up by the big three or four health care co. just like here in Florida when BC & BS bought Florida Health Care two years ago like you would buy a burger of the dollar menu.

Is the fact that you made no effort whatsoever to actually provide this information ... Only to denigrate the poster ....

I understand the poster's frustration regarding his/her experience in how own state ... Don't you ? ... Perhaps the poster see this new 'Patient Center' thing, which he/her does not understand as of yet, as simply adding to the same general malaise that has stymied citizens everywhere ..... They did explicitly request information ...

Maybe you are only here to police the threads looking for 'complainers' ?

On a side-note, slater71, it's 'alluded', not 'eluded'.

Although I guess Ryan, like most of his ilk, elude facts.

If you go back to the Bush years and listen to the rhetoric here is what the GOP plan is.

1. End employer based insurance.
2. Replace that with health saving accounts wrapped in individual "ownership plans" that you shop for nationally.
3. Voucherize Medicare with subsidies to buy the same private plans offered under "ownership".
4. Deregulate and allow caps, allow denial for pre existing conditions, and allow dropping insurance for overuse.
5. Abolish Medicaid altogether.
6. Turn care for the uninsured over to the churches to run health care clinics paid for by "faith based" block grants.
7. Privatize federal agencies under corporations governing disease control and research.
8. Subsidize medicines with tax reduction vouchers to individuals.
9. If you get sick with a deadly disease you are just collateral damage that society has to accept a number of people will die of preventable diseases.

We will NOT have any kind of European system that covers everyone. Some people will just have to be left out.
