Trumps Incompetent Cover-Up Crumbles As Devin Nuness Sources Outed As 2 White House Officials

The Trump conspiracy to distract from the Russia scandal has crumbled as House Intelligence Committee Chair Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) sources have been outed as being two White House officials.

The New York Times reported, “Several current American officials identified the White House officials as Ezra Cohen-Watnick, the senior director for intelligence at the National Security Council, and Michael Ellis, a lawyer who works on national security issues at the White House Counsel’s Office and formerly worked on the staff of the House Intelligence Committee.”

The whistle blower type people that Nunes has been referring to were not whistle blowers at all. As has been suspected by Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee, Nunes’s sources were the same White House that he is supposed to be investigating. The two press conferences and the rush to meet with Donald Trump at the White House was all an act of political theater. Trump already knew what Nunes briefed him on because the information came from his own White House.

Trump and his administration are often compared to Richard Nixon, but Nixon would be insulted to be compared to such an inept cover-up.
