Until they quietly announce they are taking the federal money, Republican governors (particularly in the south) will run their mouths with all kinds of crap to pander to the idiots that elect them.

From what I understand, states like Louisiana can expand Medicaid to cover much of the uninsured and receive 100% funding from the feds the first couple of years and then 90% after that. The states, or counties/parishes, are paying for much of the care to uninsured now out of local funds.

I think, they'll take the federal money when the deadline approaches. The stupid Republican gubnor where I live says he'll wait until after the election to make a decision. To me that means that once it's clear there is no way to stop ACA, he'll take the money.

I would much rather have the feds setting up the exchange in Georgia than Nathan Deal doing it.
