Is the Russia story good and buried now?

It seemed like the dam was definitely bursting there for a while with the reactions to Comey's closed-door meeting and Flynn's resignation. Since then, a whole lot of nothing major has come out, and so many signs point to those in power having no interest in pursuing a thorough, impartial investigation.

Is this it? Did the chance to take him down with this pass?

was ever reporting it as they should be.

but maddow and foreign media and individuals will have to keep trying to do what they can.

we can do our part to continue talking about it . when i talk to others about politics this is one of the things i make sure to always bring up.

Dems are not letting this go. I hope we get another drip drip soon. There is so much out there already. I am astonished at how little most people know about any of this. But it is making its way into the msm. If they smell blood, they will go for the kill. Just think of the ratings a big fat scandal to end all scandals will bring. It is still my firm belief that enough intelligence agents are clued in to this story. Obama made the FBI share the info and data with other agencies before he left office. Something this egregious, this big will not be kept at bay. I want it to happen right now, but I know it is going to be a process. Keep talking about it. I always give people sources to read it for themselves...it is easy to enlighten others with that much hard data available!

He was told - ' Don't screw this up. You stick to the speech the way we wrote it for you. Don't go off script. If you do that there ain't no way you'll be taken out on this Russian thing. The MSM will help you by saying you were very presidential and your supporters will have your back.'

Unless we see that tape of gals peeing on a bed in Russia with him cheering them on - I think we're stuck with him for the full four years.

This was his 'drop the mike moment' and a big fu to the Dems.

You think the media - or anyone else - is even going to remember this speech next week? NOW he actually has to govern, and we've all seen he's thoroughly incapable of that. The Russia thing is just getting started. Always remember the press does one thing very well - after they build someone up, they take delight in taking them down. That speech will be nothing but a memory by the weekend.

"Always remember the press does one thing very well - after they build someone up, they take delight in taking them down."

AND he's pissed the press and the intelligence community off 'bigly'. There's absolutely no way are they going to just let that go. They might go quieter for a bit but silence doesn't necessarily mean surrender.

Back when we still had people with principles in government who worked to get to the truth. We have an AG who has basically said there's no such thing as police brutality or hate crimes anymore. Just hard to see the truth ever seeing the light of day, let alone any consequences that might come from it.

for those that want to see the perspective from the ross/deutschebank/russian oligarch/trump POV, try this:

https://www.dcreport.org/wilbur-ross-comes-to-d-c-with-a-long-and-profitable-history-of-russian-connections/?preview_id=944

In the midst of the Trump Administration’s many other Russian entanglements,[1] it turns out that Wilbur J. Ross, Jr., the billionaire American investor who is one of Donald Trump’s closest advisors on trade and economics, has direct financial ties to several leading oligarchs from Russia and the Former Soviet Union or FSU.

................

Central to this inquiry is the question of Ross’s role as Vice Chair and a leading investor in the Bank of Cyprus, the largest bank in Cyprus, one of the key offshore havens for illicit Russian finance. Ross has been Vice Chairman of this bank and a major investor in it since 2014. His fellow bank co-chair evidently was appointed by none other than Vladimir Putin.

The Bank of Cyprus is just one of more than 100 direct and indirect investments that Ross listed on his U.S. Office of Government Ethics financial disclosure form last month. [2] He recently promised to resign as Vice Chairman of the Bank and disinvest from it within the next 90 days if his nomination is approved.[3]

Mere divestiture will not suffice here, even if it was immediate. Exiting a brothel in a hurry doesn’t explain what you were doing there in the first place.

above link expands upon Rachel's most excellent broadcast of Feb 27, which is on youtube, apparently, and not to be missed

&list=PLDIVi-vBsOEyETRGoRP9y8zhyu6bHl6iK

that was only the first 22 minutes. the next 30+ were also on the oligarch/trump connection. dunno where that is.....maybe on MSNBC....but it SHOULD be as important a story as the one those two rookie WAPO reporters worked for awhile back in 72-73....can't remember their names

Covered the Sessions story and the White House saving intel/evidence stories on their 2 hr special on the Russian/Trump connection.

I don't see it going away. Traditional media is making a comeback. Far, far more people believe the MSM than Breitbart and the Internets propaganda machine. The NYT and WaPo are in a competition to break news on the Russian connection. The weeklies are going full bore, too.
