The biggest victim in all this is Kevin Spacey.

No one's going to want to watch the next season of House of Cards with all of the stuff that's going on in real life. No screenwriter has ever or could ever imagine anything like this. And if they did put it in a script, no one would buy it.

But I suppose if some intrepid reporter dug hard enough they might find someone "missing" along the way...

Or maybe we should be looking for an intrepid reporter who "fell" in front of a train!

Underwood is evil, but he is neither stupid nor crazy. And he knows how the system works enough that he's been able to do some good things, or at least try to.

if Kevin Spacey did something like SNL and said,

Jeez, we didn't expect you to use our show as a blueprint. It is just escapist fiction.

Maybe future House of Cards will have Frank having to face off against someone very Trump-like. The viewing audience will have to decide for themselves whether they support Frank, who they already know is evil, or Cthulhu.
