(Graphic) Woman Hugs Cat No One Would Touch, the Kitty So Happy He Thanks Her with the Sweetest Meow

Source: LoveMeow

A woman hugged a shelter cat that no one would touch. The kitty was so thankful that he thanked her with the sweetest meow.

Meet Valentino the cat.

Valentino had a really rough past. No one knows his story but it was evident that his life had been very difficult.

When Elaine Seamans headed to medical at Baldwin park shelter, she was shocked by the kitty's condition. The mange-ridden cat was covered in filth and suffered from a condition called sarcoptic mange which is highly contagious. His eyes were so infected that they were stuck shut.

"It killed me to see him in that condition, knowing how defeated he must have felt," Elaine told Love Meow.

"I opened his cage door after being shocked by his appearance. He stood up and almost fell over but he turned and came to me." Valentino reached out his little paw and made the tiniest cry for help.

Elaine wasn't afraid of his illness and held him in a warm embrace that he had longed for.

So worried about all that's been discussed here today.

This is the best story I could have asked for to take me into dreamland. A Valentines Day story between human and kitty.

You're the best.

He has a nice, healthy meow now, that's a good sign! Wishing kitty all the best for a complete recovery and a happy 'furever' home. Animal rescuers are heroes!

nice kitty. I have a similar story, my son in law always into rescuing cats and dogs. He went to a kill center and saw this introverted cat who retreated to the back of the cage when approached. If she was not rescued, she would have been put to sleep within two weeks. He adopted her. I have inherited her from him and I cannot tell you how much she has helped me through bad times, she knows when am sad, stays by my side and even hugs me when am not feeling well. If I did not have her, I do not think I could have survived my work situation and the bullying for the past three years.

I love when pets are rescued. It makes puppy mills less profitable.

Only problem is that we can't take them all in, because they ALL need loving homes.

Another thing I wanna share here:

IF IT'S POSSIBLE, get litter mates. If you see a "bonded pair" of kittens or cats, and you can adopt, take them both. They keep each other company. They play together, eat together, groom each other, argue together, and comfort each other. It is FREAKIN' WUNNNNNDERFUL to watch! And if kittens, it makes things MUCH easier for them to adapt to a new home and new surroundings and new smells and hidey-holes, because they still have each other for familiarity and companionship.

I think it's the same with puppies and/or dogs, but I don't know for sure.

often don't find homes, though every adoption is so important. Spay/neuter funding lags so much behind the need. And what is with people who let their unneutered pets wander outside? I wish that could be outlawed.
