Talk Is Cheap

Only the present day Dems could squander Obama's legitimate right to appoint a SCOTUS...

Obama included.

Where were all the Dems fighting for Obama's choice? Where was Obama - why
was he not on the TV saying to confirm his choice.

Republicans always get what they want.

If Dems don't fight for us, if they don't obstruct all the republican fascist
policies, then what good are they? Whose side are the Dems on?

Sorry. This should piss off every single citizen Democrat.

It's been their 'job' for decades to just respond to the Reaganish lunacy of the GOP

They've gotten lazy

But this rankles. It's like either way, we're screwed.

Fight, and we will eventually lose, and then if another seat comes up and we've already gone nuclear, a really bad one. And if we don't fight, then we have to sit with the bitter taste of letting the GOP last year win.

It is unpleasant, and that is euphemistic.

I understand the Dems were in the minority - doesn't mean they can't
fight for *our* values.

Obama - be on TV every other day.

Dems be in the streets every day - like they are now.

Maybe that's the problem - if a poster here has to ask what more that could have been done - that's the problem.

Not sure what part of 'minority' you're unclear about. If the Republicans were determined not to hold a hearing, and they were, no amount or volume of complaining about it was going to change that.

I prefer to save my energy for fights that have at least a minimal chance of accomplishing something. But that's just me.

You go right ahead, though. Far be it from me to spoil your fun.

Do you fight for any Dem policies and beliefs? Or are you just a 'talker'.

By the way, my screen name "Talk is Cheap", there is a last part too... "it takes money to by whiskey".
Old saying that my parents would say. It means, talk does nothing - get off your ass and do something.

Get it?
