Noticing the posts that get all the attention lately have been FAKE NEWS?

the last couple of weeks...Joy Ann Reid getting the axe..FAKE....and Ryan saying Fuck...FAKE..aren't we smarter than this? Nothing Democratic or Underground about this trend...

Which makes sense, really.

It wasn't fake, just a mistake.

5. Because the reality is so awful, the "fake" news seems plausible.

folks are upset and disoriented with all of this chaos. It really opens people up to picking up on this kind of stuff on both sides. We need to hold tight and try to verify before grasping at the straws. You won't ever catch me saying much positive about Regan, other than I liked the whole "Rapping Ronnie" thing when I was 4 and thought it was really the president. Uh... hmm.. . anyway the whole trust but verify bit is a really good idea right now.

These were a few posts in the last several days that got some attention, but the vast majority of quality posts got a hell of a lot more attention.

I do see your point, but c'mon.... really?

12. I agree. This is an obvious attempt to undermine DU by claiming that we are obsessed w/fake news

This is simply and very clearly false -- just look at the posts. Our posts are either opinions, which are very clear, or linked to reputable news sources. This applies to the majority of our posts in GD and in LBN EVERY post is linked to its source.

13. The Ryan claim was phony on it's face. Ryan was walking at the time of the comment. It neither

sounded like Ryan's voice nor the voice of a man walking. I agree with the OP. Thread creators have an obligation to DU members to preform a minimum of due diligence before they post.

I may have seen OPs talking about either of the two but I was and am far more interested in reading OPs that discuss matters I feel are important.
