I've been very annoyed at CNBC and the rest of the media calling the recent market uptick the "trump rally". As if the market hasn't been moving essentially steadily up for the last 8 years....

holiday spending is up almost 4 percent, and is expected to exceed a trillion dollars, but people tend to spend money on consumer shit when they're anxious.

If rich people are getting richer from Wall Street, then everything is a-okay. It is truly bizarre. But embracing capitalism at all, requires a rejection of the fundamental principles of science and a suspension of rational thought. You literally have to believe in the ability to create, when the entire history of scientific inquiry, says that is not possible.
