9. Camacho is a much better man than Trump.

1) Camacho cared about the people and acknowledged that their crops were failing and that this would probably kill them.
2) He sought, and hired, the smartest man in the world, trusting him to use science to figure out what was going on.
3) He listened to the council of his advisors about what to do.

Trump has NONE of these qualities. We would be blessed to be faced with a Camacho presidency right now.

I was just pointing out that as absurd as a Camacho presidency might seem, our present reality is even more absurd, and terrifying.

The Handmaid's Tale: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5834204

not so much rise and fall, but looks to be where we're headed for a while

and take a guess how things will go. Trump isn't as skilled a politician as Nixon so maybe that's a stretch and he doesn't have the support staff of W, but I think the end of W with the ball up in the air in him out in left field alone and lost...I think you can guess he has that kind of a potential end. His cabinet is likely to run off on their own agendas and he is surrounded by yes men that will tell him too late things are going wrong. He likes the CEO idea of the presidency. It has never worked in the US. If I were him I'd have hired a few no men. They wouldn't stroke his ego, but they might save his ass. That was the lesson of W's administration and he didn't learn it.

We are Leftenant Hicox and Lieutenant Raine's men - fearless warriors attacking him from outside. The Intelligence Community is Shoshanna, Marcel and Colonel Landa: people risking their lives to attack him from inside.

This movie features Keith Olbermann as Donny "The Bear Jew" Donowitz and the Senate Democratic Caucus as Hugo Stiglitz.

that it 's been officially adapted as a film, but It Can't Happen Here is a near narrative of the the rise of "DT" Barnum.
