Last Thursday, the activists held a conference call with Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta and campaign general counsel Marc Elias to make their case, according to a source briefed on the call. The academics presented findings showing that in Wisconsin, Clinton received 7 percent fewer votes in counties that relied on electronic-voting machines compared with counties that used optical scanners and paper ballots. Based on this statistical analysis, Clinton may have been denied as many as 30,000 votes; she lost Wisconsin by 27,000. While it’s important to note the group has not found proof of hacking or manipulation, they are arguing to the campaign that the suspicious pattern merits an independent review — especially in light of the fact that the Obama White House has accused the Russian government of hacking the Democratic National Committee.

Note: Our U.S. Intelligence officials actually told 25 states that "a Russian Company" was targetting 25 state and local elections systems. See here:

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/10/07/russia-s-senior-most-officials-ordered-dnc-hack.html

"Officials also said they had detected Russian attempts to target state and local-level elections systems.
“We also worked as quickly as possible to release as much information as possible in order to provide state and local officials sufficient time to fortify their infrastructure,” the official said. The Department of Homeland Security and the FBI have put state elections officials on notice that hackers have been trying to access voter registration files and could cause havoc on Election Day. So far, 25 states have asked the department to help scan their computer networks for security weaknesses.

Notably, the statement didn’t blame the Russian government for targeting state elections systems, but it did say the activity had been traced to servers owned by a “Russian company.”

"Were this year’s deviations from pre-election polls the results of a cyberattack? Probably not. I believe the most likely explanation is that the polls were systematically wrong, rather than that the election was hacked."
Alex Halderman

Yet he has some questionable suspicions?

"Some data scientists and political statisticians, including FiveThirtyEight’s Nate Silver and The New York Times’ Nate Cohn, cast doubt on the claims, which compared voting in counties that used paper ballots with those that used electronic machines. Silver and Cohn said the suspicious results disappear when controlling for demographic factors like race and education"

The story is a great reminder of the infiltration in our highest levels of government by crooks, con men, and traitors to democracy. Anyone who thinks Watergate was just about bugging the DNC is woefully ignorant. Corruption and collusion with our enemies is what the RNC is all about.

that the concern with Hillary getting 7% fewer votes in electronic counties is because those counties are in the more rural parts of the state, whereas the paper counties are in the urban areas, so of course she will get more votes in the urban areas.

They also stated that in looking at Minnesota, which is much like Wisconsin demographically, she didn't win by much, and it's an all-paper ballot state.
