Trump supporter Dan Bowman told a Wall Street Journal reporter at a Cincinnati Trump rally last Thursday that he plans to assassinate Hillary Clinton if she takes office.

“If she gets into government, I’ll do everything in my power to take her out of power,” Bowman said, adding “If I have to be a patriot, I will.”...

“Is it? I won’t have to myself. There’s gonna be a movement that we will go and take them out of power.”

A spokesperson for the US Secret Service told The Independent that the agency became aware of Mr Bowman's threat on Monday. They added: "The Secret Service does not provide information regarding protective operations."
