it seems like years ago that he not so subtly suggested that "2nd amendment folks" could "do something about it".

I once worked with a guy on a temp construction job who didn't like the way I did anything and let me know about it. Every time he complained about my work, he would run down the entire list of previous offenses. Can you imagine if every time Trump said something offensive, the whole list would be read? It would be like the reading of victim's names at a 911 ceremony, sad and very time consuming.
