I voted today!

I live in virginia and you can vote absentee ballot in person at the registrar office since september 23rd.
I will likely be travelling for work on nov 8th so I went today. I was pleased to see that in my county they phased out all the touch screen voting machines. Its now a paper ballot you fill with a pen. Its then scanned and counted by the machine. It keeps the paper ballot for eventual recount.

I even love living in an area deemed safe blue territory.

We got the paper ballots in 2005 because the theft of the state in 2004 was so blatant and clumsy.

voting due to a mobility impairment I have--absentee is just easier for me. I only voted in three races--the Presidential race, a U.S. Senate race, and one other minor race. I'm in Georgia but, bucking the trend of the state, I'm blue so, of course, I voted for Hillary. Johnny Isakson is running for re-election in the Senate and I voted for his Democratic challenger, Jim Barksdale. The minor race I voted in had a GOP incumbent going against a Libertarian candidate--I voted for the Libertarian. The rest were local offices where Republican incumbents were running unopposed. Didn't vote in those.
