I can only assume that Hoosier DUers aren't fans of Pence but what about the rest of the State? How is his popularity and what do most others think of him?
Thank you in advance and sorry that you have to put up with that clown.

(110,900 posts)because it would get him the hell out of Indiana for months.
Women seem to loathe him. Not sure about men.

(2,086 posts)he had a 50/50 shot at reelection. But this is Indiana and if the Republican is not up by 15 points they're doing something wrong. What he did was cost the state billions by trying to legalize discrimination against gay people, and attempt to destroy public education. And not even in their normal stealthy way, but right out in the open.
There were quite a few 'Fire Mike Pence' signs around before the announcement. The governor's mansion was up for grabs. It will be harder now with Holcomb in the race. He sucks, by the way. He's just as bad as Pence.

(24,353 posts)That Holcomb is mentioning Mitch Daniels in his ads, NOT Mike Pence. If I had to guess, Pence hitched his wagon to Trump because he figured that he wouldn't win a second term as Governor (it was a close win for him in 2012 BTW) and Republicans were probably glad to be rid of him being an albatross. His Lieutenant Governor quit on him too, supposedly due to some internal disagreement. It will be grand to see him out of any kind of job come January and I don't imagine many other Hoosiers will miss him much even though the state will (likely) go red for Trump/Pence.

(48,954 posts)he is roundly despised as a light weight (dim bulb), with presidential aspirations and a viewed vehicle (prior to Trump) for that path was the theocratic right. He dove over the line into horrendous legislation in that quest - and watched his aspirations whither away as he was seen as toxic to a ticket. Then came Trump - whisked Pence out of town (thank Goodness!) but put him back on a path towards presidential aspirations - with a deeply rigid theocratic bend.
BTW, I see Gregg signs all over the place (the dem for Governor) - I think he has a very good shot at winning.
