Besides, Stone takes liberties with the facts. I despise documentaries that pretend they aren't. It's a lazy form of story-telling, picking something that already happened so you don't have to create your own story.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt who plays Snowden seems to be level headed. I don't think he would sign onto a total crap project. Remember this is not a documentary.

Snowden was a would be whistleblower no someone trying to make a buck by selling State secrets. The U.S. doesn't like whistleblowers. I'm curious to see how it comes off on film.

I never watch docudramas about recent events. I followed the events in the news. Boring.

Reviews are good. Basically, it's a solid film, but void of the 'Mr. X' moments (Sutherland's park bench scene in JFK). I can wait to see it.

I doubt very much if it will play locally.

Regardless of what one thinks about Snowden on a personal level, he did bring the NSA's metadata collection program to light.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt gave an excellent performance. I now plan on watching the documentary Citizen Four.

I really liked the movie. I haven't done a lot of indepth reading on it but plan to do so now.
