I voted for Sanders in the primaries over Hillary because he really is a lot more progressive than she. However, I've accepted that she is the nominee and intend on voting for her. What confuses me is lefties/liberals/progressives that now call her a war monger etc... these are the very same people that defended her when she was first lady - then US Senator - then as Secretary of State. But now she's evil and we'll all have to HOLD OUR NOSES!!!!! when we vote for her. Because she's one of the 'LEAST POPULAR!!!!' Presidential nominees!!!!! according to our informative media.
How in the hell did that happen?
You tell me.

There's not much we can do about such people, prone to zealotry and fanaticism over things sensible people consider trivial.
All we can do is try to outvote them.
I was a Sanders supporter, also. He did exactly what I hoped he would, garner enough of the primary vote to get much of his agenda written into the party platform. Hillary Clinton will get my vote so some of it can get enacted.

Anyone who says there's "no difference" between the candidates is stupid or trying to run a con in hopes of depressing Dem turnout.
And BS really isn't "a lot more progressive" than HRC. Just wait and see.

(12,540 posts)in the Obama/Clinton primary and escalated in the Clinton/Sanders one. Many Sanders partisans were not members of the Democratic party and have no particular loyalty to it. Many were so devoted that the idea of changing loyalties creates more dissonance than they can tolerate. Many are simply young, with the fixed idealism of the young and many get their opinions from their friends/classmates/professors in super-progressive hot houses.

That's what I've heard some people saying. I don't know.
