But the devil, as they say, is in the details. While the FBI’s notes did, indeed, contain the number of references reported, they were not, in fact, what respected journalists like Jake Tapper claimed they were. As has been feverishly noted, this report was not a transcript of the interview, because the interview was not recorded, so what we have here is not Hillary Clinton “(telling) the FBI ‘I do not recall’ 39 times,” but rather, 39 examples of an FBI agent saying Hillary could not recall something.

That’s not Hillary forgetting or evading, that’s her just saying “no,” and an FBI agent noting it the way FBI agents do. You could probably read any random pile of police reports, and come away concluding that people routinely talk about leaving their “domiciles” to enter their “vehicles,” but no one actually talks that way.

There is not a single instance of Hillary Clinton saying “I do not recall” (which is the specific claim that these journalists made) because this report is not a transcript, and contains almost no direct quotes from Hillary Clinton. That’s why the FBI normally doesn’t release these reports, because they don’t actually have any evidenciary value, and are, in fact, subject to misinterpretation by novices, or mischaracterization by those hostile to the truth. You’d have to ask the FBI why they decided to do so in this case.

1. As I noted in a post

yesterday. The I don't recall includes her not knowing how many times she used her authority as SoS to classify information. She remembered a meeting, but didn't recall specifics of the meeting. She didn't recall any email she sent or received having a classified header.

She couldn't recall why she couldn't get a state issued Blackberry in 2009. She didn't recall receiving any email she thought should be classified.

She didn't know how other Senators kept their files.

She didn't recall when she received her clearance or if it carried over from her position as senator. (This is a non issue. When my kid gets a promotion sometimes she needs a new security clearance. She never knows they are doing one until I tell her I was contacted)

She remembered being briefed on SAP but could not recall all the specifics. She remembered signing the SAP agreement but did not remember everything in it.

She did not know how her aides deleted any data stored on her old phones

she didn't recall using a flip phone at state, only in the Senate.

Sometimes while traveling some of her staff would get state issued phone, she didn't know how often this happened.

she did not recall specifics of conversations leading up to her opening up an email addy on the private server. She did remember around Jan 2009 she directed her aides to open her an email acct. (I bet she didn't recall the specific date either)

She knew there was a server in her basement, but did not know that it had been changed and upgraded.


This is the shit Trump is saying that proves she is deceitful and/or senile.

Hell Trump can't remember to pay people he has contracts with, they have to sue him.
