9 weeks and 4 days and this election will be over. It's really not that long now.

If that's not enough to cheer you up, remember that Trump is mortal, and someday, probably soon by the looks of him, he will die. You may well be alive to witness that day.

Remember the day you woke up to the news that Scalia had died in his sleep? It will feel at least that good.

And if you think you'll be happy on that day, imagine how happy Melania Trump will be!

On the one hand, I want the election to be over before something changes the current dynamic, because I feel pretty confident Hillary would win if the election were tomorrow. Selfishly, I also want it to be over because I'm such an election addict and it is distracting me from work.

On the other hand, part of me doesn't want it to be over because that means Obama's presidency is basically over. I am dreading January 20, 2017 no matter who wins.

I am likely going to break down in tears when the Obamas get on the helicopter and leave the white house. He is not perfect but he has been damn good.

In 2009 I jumped for joy when I heard the media say "Former President George W. Bush" for the first time. I will probably cry when they use the same title for Obama.

It seems beneath our ethics to project anything onto Melania Trump. Perhaps she really loves her husband and his death would hurt her deeply. I don't know. Although she might end up with some riches, if she truly cares about him, which is possible, she'll suffer the grief of loss.

I'll be happy if Donald Trump loses the election, loses his Trump University cases and loses his Russian financing. That will be the end of Mr. Trump's credibility and career. I want him to live through these crushing and public defeats.

No one in public life in my 58 years has deserved utter failure like this scam artist.

Besides, Donald Trump is an idiot.

She never signed up for THIS.

But she might truly love Donald Trump. I will concede that is within the realm of possibility.
