I am somewhat surprised that a veteran who earned a Purple Heart would give it to Donald Trump, a guy who sought and received 5 deferments. Bill Clinton was dragged through the mud because he skipped Vietnam. Now, Donald Trump along with not being criticized for his multiple deferments is being given Purple Hearts.

because it also has to speak to it's real meaning to ex-military. It cannot be merely symbolic.
