Pence back on for ALEC's annual meeting in Indianapolis
Gov. Mike Pence is back on the speaking schedule for an influential conservative policy conference in Indianapolis.
Pence is scheduled to speak Friday at the American Legislative Exchange Council's annual meeting. The governor had been scheduled to speak Wednesday, but withdrew to campaign for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. Pence, the vice presidential nominee, on Tuesday rescheduled his appearance for Friday.

The free-market policy group has a membership largely consisting of state legislators and business leaders. It influences policy agendas in statehouses across the country.
The time for Pence's speech had not yet been determined as of Tuesday afternoon. In addition to Pence, other speakers include former Texas Gov. Rick Perry and U.S. Rep. Todd Rokita. U.S. Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina and Wisconsin state Sen. Leah Vukmir are scheduled to speak Wednesday. A full agenda can be found at ALEC's website.
