To Bernie supporters (not at all critical!)

You have a right to be angry about the DNC emails. I supported HRC and I'm angry about it, too, because while I certainly wanted my candidate to win, I wanted her to win without any advantages. I think that there should be consequences. I think that Wasserman-Schultz has undergone a very public shaming along with her firing, and I think that's appropriate. I also think that her "honorary" position is a meaningless position specifically created to marginalize her, and although I'd like to see her completely gone from the entire Democratic political process, marginalizing her is another form of punishment by public shaming. I hope that we don't see anything like this again. On a side note, I also hope that this blows a huge hole in the Trump claim that he's not beholden to anyone. Imagine the cognitive dissonance if a Trump voter finds out that his candidate is beholden to someone, and that someone is a Russian! Heads. Exploding.

Living in the South, I have to tell all of you that I don't think the DNC's bias could have made up the delegate margin between Bernie and Hillary that really propelled her to victory. I really don't. It could have made the race closer, and I wouldn't have minded that, either. Nothing wrong with a close race so long as we can win the general afterwards.

I wanted to let you all know how much I admire your willingness to lay aside your feeling of loss, and your understandable anger, to do what's right for the country in defeating Trump. I know that MSNBC and others are trying to push the idea that Bernie supporters are all heading for Trump and the Green Party, but I also know that it's simply not true. I think that you are truly patriotic for stepping up to help defeat Trump. It is my greatest wish that Hillary wins, and that after the first year or so, that you can think, "well, I wanted Bernie, but Hillary hasn't been so bad."

Anyhow, thank you. THANK YOU. I got a huge lump in my throat when I saw Bernie's brother vote for him, and I got another lump along with apparently some dust in my eye when he made the motion for acclamation. I hope that you feel like your candidate has been honored at this convention, and I hope that you feel like his ideas and your passions have gotten attention after Hillary takes office.

I am NOT happy about the DNC primary shenanigans, and have had a feeling for quite awhile something was amiss, and now we have confirmation: it was NOT a level, fair playing field by any means. And quite frankly, I would not be surprised to find that there may be more little "revelations" just waiting to be revealed. The High Sheriffs of the Democratic Party had deemed Hillary Clinton would be the nominee long before a ballot was ever cast, and were determined to do whatever necessary to make it happen. Fine. Moving on...

Sadly, I suspect many of the astute and rabid Hillary supporters on this message board also suspected something was amiss, but decided that as long as it helped their candidate, they were just fine with that. Just remember: what goes around, comes around.

Also, much of the utter bullshit about Senator Sanders was just that: BULLSHIT. I think it is quite clear that Bernie is an honest man of integrity, and truly believes what he says. Thank you, Senator Sanders.

Finally, there is NO WAY IN HELL this Sanders supporter would ever vote for Trump. Ever. I will support our Party's nominee for the office of POTUS, Hillary Clinton.

until Bernie declared and then I was a Bernie supporter until Hillary won. I agree with you completely - the DNC didn't lose Sanders the primary. It is possible that the media lost Sanders the primary in the same way they won Trump the primary. I am very happy that Bernie may have managed to push the party back to the left a tiny bit and I really, really, really hope that all the young and passionate Bernie supporters stay active in politics and help continue that push. We've got 25 years of being pushed to the right to undo and it is going to take way more than one primary to succeed. I hope the Bernie supporters run for local elections and work their way up. And I think it is time to start to concentrate on what we really should be focusing on - beating Trump and seriously kicking some Republican butt!
