Hillary, if John ODonnell is alive, you'd BETTER have him there next week.
he's the source of the OP quote, in full here. the entirety is even worse than the snippet:
Ive got black accountants at Trump Castle and at Trump Plaza black guys counting my money! ODonnells book quoted Trump as saying. I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day. Those are the kind of people I want counting my money. Nobody else. .?.?. Besides that, Ive got to tell you something else. I think that the guy is lazy. And its probably not his fault because laziness is a trait in blacks. It really is; I believe that. Its not anything they can control.
where are the foooking MEDIA on quotes like this, and I'm talking TV. if it's not on TV, it didn't happen

(28,795 posts)I have a great relationship with the blacks. Ive always had a great relationship with the blacks.
And if you look at black and African American youth, to a point where theyve never done more poorly. Theres no spirit.
And, you know, I have a great relationship with African Americans, as you possibly have heard. I just have great respect for them and you know they like me.
check the polls lately, doofus?

(17,199 posts)Ask the gays what they think and what they do, in, not only Saudi Arabia, but many of these countries, and then you tell me whos your friend, Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton?
Almost immediately, the Twitterverse jumped on the phrase ask the gays and turned it into a viral hashtag, with the LGBT community responding with unequivocal sass, in the form of animated GIFs and video clips.

(17,199 posts)Classic @realDonaldTrump. First appease anti-Semitic white supremacists, then pretend it never happened, added Michael Skolnick, with the hashtag #StarofDavid.
The initial tweet, with the tagline, Crooked Hillary -- Makes History! soon disappeared from Trumps twitter timeline.
But it continued to circulate as outraged users shared screenshots of the initial tweet on social media.

(28,795 posts)Its possible, yes, Trump said. Yeah. That would be possible, absolutely.
When Dickerson asked, Isnt there sort of a tradition, though, in America that we dont judge people by who their parents were and where they came from? Trump replied with 11 words that glossed over the entire reason my great-grandparents and perhaps yours too, reader came to America:
Im not talking about tradition. Im talking about common sense, OK?

(8,394 posts)talk about people. She was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1909. She would never admit she was racist or bigoted, but her first question about someone would be, "What nationality are you?" You could never be American, always had to go back to where "your people" were from. Her own parents were from Italy and experienced bigotry, but of course, why learn from that experience? Years, later, when my mom and dad moved out of Brooklyn to Long Island, a neighbor lamented that "dirty Italians" were moving in across the street.
Somehow, my own mother wasn't racist or bigoted - and she was a registered Democrat. My father didn't appear to be racist until he started watching Fox News, and while he's not overtly racist, he's nonetheless racist. Hates Obama, we don't talk politics. Talks about "the Orientals" next door. Oh, the horror - they're all med students, for crying out loud. Yeah, ruined the neighborhood.
Getting back to my grandmother, she used to say, "We have everything in our family. We even have a Black" (her nephew's wife). We'd all cringe.
The cycle was broken with my mother, me, and my brothers.

her default word was the 'coloreds,' or 'colored people.' every time she said it, I'd ask, what color, gram? purple, green? we'd laugh about it sometimes, but at others, she would get various shades of pissed, and occasionally, go ballistic: 'YOU know what I mean....the N*****S!'
she finally started to mellow in the last few years, even to the point of realizing what a grand spoof the catholic church really is. this, from a woman who had a priest come to our place every week for about 20 years.
she started to question the existence of god.
I never let her off with the colored people thing.

..........a supporter stated that Obama was a Muslim and not American -- which Trump did not correct -- and asked the candidate how he plans to "get rid of" Muslim "training camps" in the country.
"We're going to be looking at a lot of different things," Trump responded. "You know, a lot of people are saying that and a lot of people are saying that bad things are happening."
what is he trying to say/not say in that last paragraph?

(28,795 posts)can't copy anything, but the first instance was about his refusal to rent to AfAms, resulting in his hiring of Roy Cohn to sue the government, defaming many of the govt attorneys
the judge threw it out, calling it a 'waste of paper.' this was in like 73, so he wasn't even thirty. the pattern had been established
probably most in there is familiar, as was this first bit, but it's a good repository of his slimy racism
