He came off as someone that like Cheney would work as a buffer between the president and the people in the government infrastructure. I kept thinking, here is the guy that will be really running things and he scared me more than anyone so far. He was an entitled prick that lies without remorse and cares nothing for anyone. He's not going away anytime soon. He smelled power and he likes it...a lot.

(22,074 posts)What made Vice President Cheney so formidable were his long experience in government and private industry. He had the contacts and understood the levers of power. Mr. Trump, Jr. has zero governmental experience and I doubt he has the powerful contacts necessary to run the show the way that Mr. Cheney did.
Plus, he's as much an idiot as his father.

(20,965 posts)The Trump show int he oval office will likely be painful and the lobbyists they pretend to hate will rule the day if he wins. But I think access to the Donald himself will be controlled by his kids. At least the word is Donald Jr. has been calling a lot of shots in the campaign so far.
