really good, slams the hell out of lying republicans
putting this up now; will edit
EDIT: Al wrote a book, Why Not Me? in which he becomes president, clones himself, then goes nuts....very very funny. in this book he thinks he's asked to give the commencement speech at Harvard, and it's really Hartford Institute of something or other. when he finds out, he goes to Hartford and gives a very insulting speech to the grads. the REPUBLICAN party in Minnesota starting using this passage from the book as a campaign issue against him, either not knowing, or not caring that it was part of a NOVEL.
I mention this because he brought it up in the interview with Stevie the republican mouthpiece.
cspan schedule on my computer is wrong, so I don't know how long it lasts, or if it's to be replayed
it infuriates me that he's not considered as a veep candidate. I started a thread on this. what better running mate to CONCENTRATE on getting under Trump's exceedingly thin skin?
remember what he did to the lying liar Bill OReilly?

(28,795 posts)if you haven't read big fat idiot (Rush), Lying Liars, or Truth with Jokes, you owe yourselves.....they go back over 20 years, and are still relevant today
and his novel, mentioned above, is fantastic, especially the audio version, in which people like Norman Ornstein, with whom he appeared at the 96 convention for comedy central, playing themselves, is at times, LOLworthy. I almost drove off the winding mountain roads of WVA while listening.
gave it to a friend, who thought it was the best audio book he's ever heard
they just discussed how somebody at Politico called for his nomination as Veep, averring that he's the best rep for Bernie's viewpoint available--better than Warren.

a guy from politico is on, talking about all the people who DON'T want anything to do with veep. he just said that, especially among younger pols, they consider it "too much of a risk to tie themselves to him," or a very close paraphrase of the quote
talking about Christie, who's at 25-30 percent in Jersey polls.
says the only upside for Trump is LOYALTY, haaa. politico guy says it's impossible to overstate loyalty to trump's (insular, my word) family, again haaaaa
they're showing a clip of Christie's insulting speech at the Romney convention, and he looks GIGANTIC. he must've lost half a ton since then.
not that he doesn't look like a stuffed walrus, still
still....apologies to the gravitationally challenged

(28,795 posts)clapping, but both with pained expressions on their faces, especially the mitt. he looked like he'd rather be at a flying spaghetti monster congregation.
take your pick between his insane religion and that of the above.
I like their "our father"
