A kick in the keester for "Corporate So-called Science" and an embrace of common sense as dictated by actual independent science. Too bad - a true pity - that the USDA and FDA are essentially 'Captured Agencies' and serve not the people of the USA, but the corporate chemical-GMO machine.
"Russias State Duma adopted Friday the third and final reading of a government bill that introduces a total ban on the cultivation and breeding in Russia of genetically modified (GM) plants and animals, except for scientific research purposes."

(314 posts)The Corporate Machine keeps on attacking clean farms and clean food, and pumping out the BS propaganda via Inet Trolls - meanwhile merrily fouling the Gulf of Mexico with a DEAD ZONE the size of Connecticut, not to mention infesting our food, beer, wine, and tampons with their carcinogenic chemicals and GMO "products."
Corporate GMO chemical enemies of clean farms and clean food have the same sick strategy as the Republican Behghazi investigations. Truly twisted.
"...When organic farming practices are compared to conventional practices using all four of those metrics, the FOE report argues, the organic practices hold an advantage considering their resilience to increasingly pressing agricultural challenges, including climate change and water scarcity..."

(314 posts)I understand how offensive majority rule (and the informed will of the citizenry) is for some corporations and apparently for some few people as well. But nonetheless, as a Democrat, I find majority rule of the people - particularly when it is strong - to be admirable.
The Pseudo, Profit-Driven-Science of Corporate Functionaries-in-Lab-Coats, Inc. -- and their array of Captured Universities, Inc. -- is indeed a grave danger for the human beings.

(16,184 posts)The number of those who think gay people should be allowed to get married has decreased from 14 percent in 2005 to 8 percent in 2015. According to the poll, only 3 percent of respondents said LGBT people should be able to bring up children. Another 3 percent supported the idea of marriage, but said children should not be brought up in such households.
Seem completely rational to me.
