Clinton tech aide plans to take the Fifth at deposition

Lawyers for former State Department tech specialist Bryan Pagliano said in a court filing Wednesday that there's no valid reason to make an audio or video recording of the session since Pagliano doesn't plan to answer any of the questions he's asked by the conservative group Judicial Watch, which is pursuing a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit related to Clinton's private email server.
Acting on a request from another former aide to Clinton, Cheryl Mills, U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan already ruled that videos of the sessions should be put under seal. However, Pagliano's lawyers say there's still a chance the video could emerge later either with or without permission from the court.
A spokesman for Clinton's presidential campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the development.
Pagliano previously took the 5th when called to appear at a closed session of the House Benghazi Committee. However, he reportedly spoke with FBI investigators looking into the Clinton email set-up after receiving some type of immunity from the government.
... Clinton has taken a selective approach to cooperating with inquiries into the email issue. She and her top aides declined to speak with investigators from the State Department's Office of Inspector General preparing a report on the impact of private email accounts on recordkeeping when she was secretary of state and during the tenure of previous secretaries.

(7,299 posts)1. I wouldn't talk to Klayman and Judicial Watch either. Klayman's the guy who stood outside the
White House during the government shutdown and demanded the the Muslim inside put his Koran down, get up off his knees and come out with his hands up. Try posting a thread like this on June 16.

There would be NO reason to quash the source.

(7,299 posts)4. Klayman is a Right wing nut job that files lawsuits against Democrats for a living. He is funded
by wealthy Right wing donors. This is exactly the kind of thing that won't fly on June 16.

But that doesn't mean nothing they do is in the public interest.
Maps and Charts of Iraqi Oil Fields
These are documents turned over by the Commerce Department, under a March 5, 2002, court order as a result of Judicial Watchs Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit concerning the activities of the Cheney Energy Task Force. The documents contain a map of Iraqi oilfields, pipelines, refineries and terminals, as well as two charts detailing Iraqi oil and gas projects, and Foreign Suitors for Iraqi Oilfield Contracts. The documents are dated March 2001.

Two weeks can't come soon enough...then I'll be able to get all my right-wing lies and smears at Fox Noise instead of getting them here at DU
