Get on with it - every time he says crooked Hillary they should say Don the Con three times.

(1,000 posts)"con" has another meaning that will just conjure up one of Clinton's major liabilities. Only one of the two is the subject of an FBI criminal investigation and that simply gives him the opportunity to remind everyone of that.

(561 posts)"The lawsuit against Donald Trump's self-styled "university" accusing it of scamming hundreds of students can head to trial, a New York judge decided Tuesday.
"Eric Schneiderman, New York state's attorney general, filed a $40 million civil suit against Trump University an online program for would-be real estate investors in 2013. He claimed the school used fraud and false advertising techniques to lure students with the promise that they could get rich just like Trump".
""As we will prove in court, Donald Trump and his sham for-profit college defrauded thousands of students out of millions of dollars," Schneiderman said in a statement Tuesday.

Maybe it's time we reminded voters of that. Not to mention, a lot of Trump's other business failures that have cost other people millions. And while Trump wants to send illegals back, look at all the illegals working in and outside of his businesses in Manhattan and Las Vegas. He's such a hypocrite. We should remind voters of that too. Hillary has never been convicted of anything and this FBI "Investigation" is another republican smokescreen "gate".
Can't wait for that Trump University trial

(13,877 posts)Losing money is just not equivalent to the adventures of war and profit therefrom. He's greedy, she's a Hawk. I'm not voting for him, but this false equivalency gives a feeling of self-righteousness that we can't afford.
Oh, and they haven't "Proven" anything that I know of any more than they have "Proven" the recently garnered wealth and power and misdeeds of the Clintons...plural. So there's that.

(561 posts)go ask those people, if it it "pales" in contrast. They've been all over tv talking about it. So please, when it comes to "misdeeds", don't kid yourself about Trump or his "
investments" and what it's done to people.

(13,877 posts)I didn't think so. Even that pales to a War Hawk.
ETA: Chelsea's husband.
Want to talk about Jane Sanders and her involvement in a university that went under? Trump sure would. You want to look at all the relatives associated with a presidential candidate? Well, that will include Bernie's family too. And how about Bernie? Since he will only release one year of his Income tax returns, we don't really how much or where his money has gone to. But we do know he made about $200,000 that year, not exactly chump change, especially in Vermont, that's like a friggin' Roman Holiday. Not to mention a pension and benefits he receives. Yet he gave a quarter of his income to charity. So since He is running for president and not Chelsea's husband, I'd be very interested in the rest of his tax returns and why he won't release more of them. Trump is doing the same and it makes you wonder why every presidential candidate we have had, has done so, but not these two. Why is that?

(13,877 posts)truly go through the Clinton scandals and a couple of colleges that failed to meet expectations. Mezvinsky comes from a similar politically questionable family, as well.
I think you're going to need some better rants than this one. Bernie makes a good living, as he should. Point taken. Jane tried and failed. Point taken. Trump tried and failed. Mezvinsky lost many millions of investor's money betting on the Greek "poverty" plan working. Oh well.
But, you know, not one of them even comes close to being a War Hawk and enabler of diactator regimes...and I don't need to go into those details. So, there you have it. That's really the subject at hand.
Bernie's NRA rating is D-. He voted to support the troops and equipment after the fact, as he should have, even though it was a police action he did not vote for.

(561 posts)Bernie makes a very good living. Jane tried and failed? At whose expense?, not hers, that's for sure.
You haven't answered the question as to why Bernie has released only one year of his Income Tax returns, he is the one running for president.
Maybe you should take a breath, and try answering that.
By the way.. Bernie also voted for the 2005 law that grants immunity to gun manufacturers.
In 1998 Sanders voted in favor of the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998, which said: It should be the policy of the United States to support efforts to remove the regime headed by Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq and to promote the emergence of a democratic government to replace that regime. He also voted for the 2001 Authorization Unilateral Military Force Against Terrorists (AUMF). He also backed Obama on Libya and supports an expanded US role in the Syrian Civil War. Supported John Kerry when he ran in the 2004 election, despite Kerry's vote on the Iraq War.
So waiting for your answer on Bernie's income tax returns.

(13,877 posts)Perhaps when the FBI Investigation is complete. If I were him, that's when I'd schedule it.
And I don't think it will get or lose him any support.
Bernie is not a Hawk...never has been, never even been accused of it. He supports our troops no matter what.
Hillary is a Hawk. She supports all manner of initiating the US putting our troops in Harm's Way. She has profited from it. The Foundation had to "redo" financials. Sorry, Pay to Play doesn't get a pass from many of us. And it is Well Known that hundreds of thousands of dollars changed hands at incredibly convenient times.
But not to worry, the Democrats have their heads up their, I mean in the sand. But the Republicans don't. She's their dream candidate.
I don't think they are much counting on failed colleges, even with Trump.

(561 posts)If you think Trump will go any easier on Bernie or his wife, I've got a deal on how you can buy the Brooklyn Bridge...cheap.
Case in point, remember Heidi Cruz? Everything she did business wise was held up for examination, not to mention her looks. You think Trump will skip over that? Jane Sanders plays a big roll in her husband's campaign, you think Trump will ignore her business failures? You can also look forward to jabs on her appearance, and Bernie's as well. It seems trite, but that's Trump for you. Hitting below the belt, is his favorite game.
You know it always interests me, in that John Kerry and John Edwards voted for the Iraq war, yet their "poor judgment" is something Bernie conveniently ignores, and went on to support them in 2004. Joe Biden too, his Iraq war vote never bothered Bernie either. Curious. .
So, as for being a dove...his 2001 AUF vote and his vote (twice) on the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998? He also backed Bill Clinton's war in Serbia. A dove? not so much
If Hillary has blood on her hands, so does Bernie, for voting and backing the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998, and the bombings and the blockades that took place. He continues to support our troops in a war he doesn't believe in... doesn't that make it more likely to continue?
You know, it's not over yet, looks like Hillary will get the nomination, but who knows? Anything can happen. I didn't really care which one got the nomination, until lately, very disappointed with Sanders NY Daily News interview. And I'll be honest, if the vile words thrown at Democratic women in Nevada is true, I'm starting to care. Especially if it was said to Senator Boxer, she was the one that stood up to Condi Rice, on the Iraq war AND the PDB in August 2001 that stated "Bin Laden determined to attack in US" . Which the bush gang decided to ignore. It was Boxer not Bernie, that really went after them. Makes me very angry, that and all the crap I read on here about Senator boxer.
As for his vote on the 2005 law that grants immunity to gun manufacturers, not comfortable with that either. Nor the way he handled that question at the debates, smirking, practically giggling. Insulting to the families.
You still didn't answer why Bernie is not releasing his Income Tax returns. Please do. Thanks.

Lots of "shoes" yet to drop, regardless of the blackout on discussion of The Clinton Foundation and how the email tentacles are increasingly leading back into the "prove it" status of earlier scandals.
Hope that helps.

(561 posts)People make so much and maybe they think it will not be enough for them to retire on, or they have medical expenses they need to handle or dozens of other reasons, where money is an issue for them. And the image that Trump projects is one of "if you follow my example, you can get rich too" Don't forget he straight out lied, committed fraud actually, by saying his university had an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, and was an "accredited" university, when not one word of that was or is true. And since he got his students to submit references before they actually completed the course, so thrilled that he had actually accepted them, people checking out the "university" felt safe.
I've lived in NY too long to believe anything Trump says. I've seen his failures as well as all these successes he brags about. Not to mention his personal life. But look around you, his voters are buying what he says, hook, line and sinker. They too can be just like Trump ....rich and successful , he's going to "fix" everything, make America great again. They believe that. I understand people have fears, but just like years ago, when people signed up for mortgages they knew they couldn't afford, they believed the snow job that was sold to them, that they could.
They say men live quiet lives of desperation. These are desperate people and it's sad. But the fact remains they were victims of fraud and they lost what little they had, by a guy who knew he was screwing them.

(561 posts)let's get real, for 30 years republicans have been after Hillary, have any of their charges stuck? Nope. But do they ever stop trying? Nope. For 9 hours the republicans questioned Hillary on Benghazi, they have spent more time and more money than the 9/11 Commission hearings, hell, they spent more time on this than the Beirut barracks bombing during the Reagan administration, where over 250 soldiers and civilians died. Not to the mention embassy bombings under bush. Hillary didn't flinch during her testimony, republicans could care less about Benghazi and the 4 people who died there (read some of their forums and their taunts about our ambassador there being gay) it's always politics, not concern, that drives republicans.
So what are Democrats so afraid of, I would throw anything at Trump and see what sticks. Republicans do it. So yes, I think it's more than fair. How can he say anything about her, if he has legal issues himself? He does, and still it doesn't stop him. Maybe this will cancel out the "legal issues" meme, by bringing up his. Hillary has never been convicted of anything. Go look closely at some of the legal issues Trump has had, and has lost in court.

(13,877 posts)Just taking a bit longer to revive the 30,000 of her "personal emails". There was Chelsea's wedding and all.
She, like me, is a Boomer. We didn't grow up with this and seem to be behind in grasping the totality of it, like the Millenials can.
For me, I'm waiting until the FBI concludes its investigation. If they say she's clean, which there is no way she is, but if they do, I'll not mention it again.
I think we all have one thing in common...hopefully...let's get this over with so we can move on.

(45,851 posts)That's why the investigation is being slow walked, they will never ever hand Bernie the nomination and that's what a really bad report on Hillary from the prosecutor will mean unless Bernie has already dropped out.
