Just curious.

(1,098 posts)In the eyes of the Tea Party. The whole motivation behind the Tea Party wanting lower taxes and less government spending is so that their money won't have to be 'wasted' on 'those people.'

(34,661 posts)best statement of the day so far,TeaBillies caring about anyone other than themselves or people in poverty, like the humor. Have teabilly relies, and they believe if poor people did not get their FreeBe's,they would just go away some where. Still have not figured out where the somewhere is,does anyone know?

Define your version of the working poor because they look out for their own which is gun toting Christian conservatives who live in a fear based world but outside that bubble you're on your own.

(7,523 posts)They would deny the poor food, education, health care/insurance, lodging and anything else that could possibly benefit them in hopes that they just go away and die. They would stick them in camps, feed them sawdust, work them till they are dead and sell the remains to fertilizer companies if they could get away with it.

(3,447 posts)...that now, they did 'back then'). For those not familiar with me, I was raised conservative. Eventually I reached the age of reason.
Their ideas are, predictably, different from many of ours, but since most of them ARE the working people and the poor, yeah, they do seem to be pretty sincere (again, referring to the ones I personally know. I don't speak for anyone I don't personally know on this topic).
But overall? Of course not. They were coopted less than 6 weeks after birth. No actual political organization cares about the poor.
