He wants the same thing the Koch brothers want, the same thing that Sheldon Adelson wants, the same thing that those who have virtually everything, (that notorious 1%), want.
They want More.
And, no, they will never have enough. If they owned the entire planet and everything on it, they would still want more. They would drive the peasants to find new worlds for them to own, and then search for even more.
Its really that simple and that complex. Its simple because it clearly explains what they want. Its complex because it doesnt explain why theyll never have enough. (Perhaps its a basic human trait that exists in most of us.)
But at this moment in our evolution, we peasants dont really need to understand the why. All we need to understand is that we are nothing more than cannon fodder in their quest for more. It has always been thus since the first civilization appeared on this planet. And it is still true today.
Most people dont understand this and theres virtually no way of getting through to them. They will follow their Great Leader of the moment, and theres nothing we can say or do that will change their course.
So it really comes down to one question. How can Donald Trump be stopped? The answer is easy to state, but hard to implement. There are far more people (voters) who want to see Trump stopped than there are those who want to see him elected. The answer is to show up and vote against him. In numbers yuuuge enough that the election cant be stolen. I understand that this may not happen. But for the naysayers, think of a world in which Trump is King.

Many years ago, the first time I saw "Key Largo", I "got it." It's a "truth" that I've never forgotten.

DNC knows best...Not. Just their record under the "guidance" of DWS is a disaster for Democrats. They are following their Great Leader, as well. The showdown will be cringeworthy.

(13,877 posts)That would be HRCs many years of foolish actions.
What worries me the most, and I'm just guessing, but I think that the FBI info will not come out until she has been nominated, which seems likely, which will then throw the election to the Republicans and ..... ??? We've been here before.
The Clinton Foundation issue seems to have strung it out and they all pretty much reflect back the same message regarding the frontrunning candidate.
Will or can Bernie remain viable as the new candidate? Funny, I can't see any upside for any establishment Democrat to step in except maybe Biden. And the electorate has already expressed their opinion on that.

(281 posts)investigation and the reason I say is this
Do you remember the Ken Starr investigation with Clinton? He kept going down different avenues. The FBI is not doing this, to me that means there is nothing there other than the obvious.

(13,877 posts)(name invented by Bill...just reworded for his wife). It may be too late already, because she's losing every day. The shoes are dropping, the Faithful are getting nervous (see Diane Feinstein's latest) and someone is going to have to come up with Plan B.
I would suggest firing DWS, then house cleaning out the DNC, and starting some meetings that include Bernie and/or his people. All of which have caused this debacle. He has momentum. She's fending off indictment and shame for the party.
Now who's the Real Democrat?
ETA: I totally agree with you...forgot that part, sorry.

(13,877 posts)President? That's not this forum. That's your opinion.
My opinion is that she can not win. There is much information to support that. Republicans don't care how untrustworthy their candidate is, just so he wins.
Democrats are traditionally not like that. We care...especially when our doubts are in the hands of the FBI. And we don't particularly like our front runner visiting with Republican donors.
She is the front runner...barely...not the nominee. Fact.
How she will fare the deposition of her top aides, then herself is yet to be seen.
Oh, you don't need to be cute and clever. It's unbecoming.
We don't agree. Nothing wrong with that. Over and out. Peace.

REASON FOR ALERT
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.
ALERTER'S COMMENTS
Is there any way, any way at all, to keep GD-P out of GD? I know this must be an ongoing problem, but it's really making DU an unpleasant place (to say the least).
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Thu May 19, 2016, 02:59 PM, and the Jury voted 1-6 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Are you FREAKING kidding me? Alerting on THIS?
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: The OP is not GDP material. If it were it would be a host issue.
While I understand what you (the alerter, is saying) I am not sure I feel comfortable hiding something that aside from discussion Clinton is a violation worthy of hiding.
It's a respectful conversation and that is with my opinion aside -- I don't feel right hiding something because it is off topic within a thread. I am sorry and I do feel the same consternation that you do.
Once the Primary season is over we are going to have a lot of OP's like this and a lot that will end up talking about Clinton.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Belongs in the cesspool known as gd-p
Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

(24,692 posts)There can be no discussions of idiotic, evil republicans or Democrats vs republicans without some Hillary/Bernie sniping.
Why confine the intra-party fighting to GD-P (which is designed specifically for that purpose) when you can spread the 'spirit of GD-P over all of DU.
libdem4life
(13,877 posts)Hillary or Bernie or any form thereof, it is automatically GD-P. Add to that the subject of Democrats, Independents or Republicans, or any facsimiles thereof. Even if it is about their pets, because it's going to be a hot few months here.
