Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsIt's*news*: DRUMPF(already)said it's *terrorism* - why is he being asked *anything*about anything?
It's not enough to say he's a loose cannon. Not enough to say he's ignorant. He's a total and complete disruptor and distraction.
A leader with tons of personal problems and baggage distracts away from the functioning of whatever organization.
This is the lesson (for me) of Bill CLINTON. We Dems supported him tooth and nail when he was constantly under Repuke attack. But many of his problems were his own doing. In the movie Primary Colors at the end when he wins after the original attacks, the Kathy BATES character says, we stuck with you all the way now don't go break our heart.
Which, of course, he did.
But the point is that we had to channel all of our energy into defending PERSONAL HIM, away from all of us including him spending our whole energy into WORKING FOR OUR AGENDA. (By the bye, our Dem agenda being: Civil rights, civil liberties, social justice, stewardship of the planet.)
So here comes Donald DRUMPF, with tons of personal baggage *AND* with a disruptive, bomb throwing personality (is he meeting Kim Jong UN yet?!1), *AND* being a total ignoramus into the bargain.
So a plane is in the news for being lost, nothing is known, yet the headline is that DRUMPF has already declared it's *TERRORISM*.
I'm still waiting and hoping some great creative DUer can photoshop DRUMPF's face onto this -.gif

(70,783 posts)No, my first thought was to process the news that no plane was found yet, no debris, no nothing, yet DRUMPF has pronounced from on high.
What special knowledge and expertise does he have on this and many topics? It might well be terrorism. It's not his knowledge about it that makes it this or that, just his rabble rousing. It's his rabble rousing that is my point.

(26,060 posts)and it's not during take off or landing - there are only a few things that it could be. Unfortunately , these days, it's most likely terrorism.

Donald Trump Weighs in on Crashed EgyptAir Flight
Not to be outdone by a plane crash and 66 possible dead bodies, Donald Trump has found a way to insert himself into the EgyptAir news cycle, speculating that the plane was brought down by yet another terrorist attack.
The plane, carrying 66 people, crashed in Egyptian airspace on its way to Cairo. Rescue workers havent even found the debris yet. Egypts minister of civil aviation, Sherif Fathy, has said that its too soon to rule out either a terror attack or technical problems.
When we have the truth, we must draw all the conclusions, whether it is an accident or another hypothesis, which everybody has in mind, the terrorist hypothesis, French president François Hollande said Thursday. On the other hand, why wait?
******* GAWKER readers comments:
how does he know its a terrorist attack unless... donald Trump funds terrorist???!!! Donald Trump personally financed 9/11.

Donald Trump is sort of the 9-11 of politics when you think about it. He gained entry through a weak security system and caught everyone off guard, threatens national security and wide spread panic, and when the smoke clears we will make new laws to prevent another Trump and vow to never let it happen again.

(26,060 posts)I'm just saying it doesn't matter. He's most likely right and although it's bad taste to jump to that conclusion - it looks like putting your head in the sand no say it's not likely.

(70,783 posts)will never wash with me, and it's a flimsy point that whatever-thoughts/impressions are widespread in all of us. What doesn't matter is whether "He's most likely right."
Repetition won't sway any arguments, so please let's go our own ways, thanks.
