Hope he actively campaigns for him.

We are going to have referendums on legalizing MJ and rasing the minimum wage this November - and no bear hunt ban this time around.

The yahoos might stay home and the Libs come out in force on election day.

yup

"The Deep South of the Far North" is one term that is often used to describe that end of the Appalachian mountains (Sidebar--years ago on DU I got a HIDE for saying that because someone was pissed at me, personally. However, if you google the term, which may have been penned by Conan O'Brien, you find it oft-repeated).

There's hunting, there's fishing, there's farming, there's NASCAR, there's country music, there are a TON of churches hither and yon, and there are pockets of very deep poverty. There's smoking (tobacco and other stuff), there's opioid abuse, there's drinking and carousing at the weeked, and there's some very good food available at small restaurants at reasonable prices. Instead of steamy hot weather, you get ... WINTER. Skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, etc. Lakes and woods! Moose! Very CLEAN air.

I have a shack up there not far from the Canadian border that I go to when I want to just 'get away.' It's nice but it's rural as hell.

Ron White (of "Tater Salad" fame) and comedians who are popular on the southern circuit swing through there and sell out.

Unlike the south, though, it's very VERY white. About the only racial diversity you'll find up north is native people. If you're Asian or any shade of black or brown, they'll say hey and notice you. They aren't mean at all--but you do stick out.

If you have an hour, here's the TATER SALAD act:

I've seen only one Trump lawn sign.

It's like the republicans are embarrassed this year.

Not one Bernie or Hillary sign, except for a "stop Hillary" sticker on a stop sign.

I live in an AZ senior community. Need I say more?

Have never seen a Trump lawn sign or bumper sticker. Didn't know they exist.

I saw three or four over-decorated McMansions in close proximity to one another outside of town on the main drag there that all had the Trump lawn signs out. I was wondering if it wasn't catching, like a virus!!!

I actually saw a Hillary for America bumper sticker, right here in the heart of seniorville! Still have not seen ANY Trump stickers or signs.
