by the GOP. The Electoral College is starting to give Democrats a lock on the White House. Better to keep it IMO.

And every four years, forgotten in the weeks after the election.

Because that time between elections is when the hard work is done and most people just go back to their lives after becoming disgusted with the media onslaught about it.

Can't say I'm in favor of eliminating the EC, particularly coming from a small state, and knowing a good bit of its origins, intentions, and function over the decades. The only way to get rid of it is with a massive realignment of how our elections process works and that simply isn't going to happen without a revolution. And I mean a full on, weapons in hand, revolution.

Sorry for the mini-jab. You're right about the reasons behind the college. One could work around it a bit, but most of the proposals I've heard over the years don't really improve it IMHO.

the Senate is as large, if not a larger, problem.

I don't see any popular movement to dump it getting a lot of traction. maybe Trump will lead one if/when he loses because of it.
