Sean Anderson, one of the last holdouts in the armed takeover of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, won an order for his release Monday pending trial, but a prosecutor immediately challenged the decision.
Anderson, 47, is to remain behind bars until another judge reviews the order, possibly later this week ...
Assistant U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Barrow played two videos of Anderson in the last hours of the standoff.
In one, Anderson urged people to come to the refuge and "fight for your country,'' suggesting that the "media has been waiting for a bloodbath.'' In the other, Anderson described the unfolding situation as a "free-for-all Armageddon,'' referred to law enforcement officers "who don't abide by their oath'' as the enemy and added: "If they stop you from getting here, kill them'' ...
