4. How does it get past the P90X Ryan Congress?

Yours are quite good questions; the first a subject of heated debate ("if the UBI beats work, why should ANYone work?&quot .

3: A UBI would only beat low income to lower middle jobs, well below the median wage. 15-30k depending on region. Also people would still work because the UBI would mostly cover the essentials, one would still need to work for extras or luxuries. Yes, some people would be fine with just the essentials but not working would still have a significant price - it's just that the price is no longer starvation and death. Though more and more jobs are going to be temporary/gig/sharing in any case. Also the premise of the UBI is that it would at least partially replace Medicare/Social Security/SNAP/other anti-poverty programs.

4: Of course it's not getting past a Republican Congress, hell it almost certainly wouldn't get past a Democratic Congress, hell it may not get through a Democratic Congress filled with 535 clones of Bernie Sanders. But I think the UBI is going to be a major option in the future, as we outsource and automate more jobs out of existence and the jobs that will replace them won't be abundant enough to replace it (too many people, not enough labor needed) so it's best to start the discussion now.

I think there will have to be some form of price controls enacted to make sure someone isnt gouging for products like food.
